Genetically Modified Foods

What are Genetically Modified (GM) Foods?  Genetic modification is when the gene from one species is spliced into another.  Genes spliced into a plant may be from another plant, a bacteria or virus, or from an animal.  One plant had a fish gene spliced in.   GM foods have never been tested for safety.  Negative health impacts have been documented around the world in both domestic animals and humans.
GM foods now available include: soybeans, rapeseed/canola, corn, sweet corn, cotton, alfalfa, hawaiian papaya, sugar cane, sugar beet, rice, crookneck squash, and sweet peppers.

Almost all processed foods carry GMOs (genetically modified organisms).
