CLEANERS
This page will discuss common household products, such as cleaners, that are not safe.
Suggested alternatives, include distilled white vinegar, which is both an effective cleaner
and safe for humans, animals, and the environment.
COPPER CLEANER - I discovered this by experiment. I have a copper ring and I soaked it in distilled white vinegar and it now looks brand new! No scrubbing!
KITCHEN
Some cooking pots are made from aluminum. Aluminum is a neurotoxin and is linked to neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, like Alzheimer's Disease. Non-stick (Teflon) coated pots and pans are highly toxic. The coating (Teflon) is a chemical. When heated, a chemical reaction takes place. There are many safe alternatives for cookware, including ceramic, cast iron, glass, and high quality stainless steel.
